Netroots Nation

Netroots Nation is known for

Amplifying progressive voices by providing an online and in-person campus to exchange ideas and learn how to be more effective in using technology to influence public debate.

The 6th Annual event is taking place in Minneapolis, MN and will include panels led by

National and international experts; identity, issue and regional caucuses; prominent political, issue and policy-oriented speakers; a progressive film screening series; and the most concentrated gathering of progressive bloggers to date.

The event is broken down into 70 panels and 30 training sessions with progressive organizations and politicians who use new media technologies to communicate with their constituents.

Fission's own Cheryl Contee will be attending and serving on several panels including:

FTW: Social Networks, Down and Dirty for Change is a “knock your socks off” Workshop that displays stories from social media that demonstrate the dos and don'ts to real-life situations and offer tips on strategy, storytelling, tactics, and successful outcomes
