The COP15 United Nations Climate Change Conference opened today in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Fission Vice President Beka Economopoulos has a ringside seat for the festivities. Beka and the TckTckTck team planned and organized the Fresh Air Center, a physical and online space which offers a huge variety of resources for global bloggers and online campaigners from NGOs around the world. The Fresh Air Center offers live-stream of press conferences and programming from inside the Bella Center, morning briefings orienting participants to the day's events and political context, afternoon NGO briefings, and evening programming with top-level figures. The Downtown Fresh Air Center, has super high-speed wireless internet, a fully equipped bar, snacks and nearby food options, and a community of global bloggers, media members, and online campaigners from NGOs around the world. The Fresh Air Center also coordinates an SMS broadcast blast promoting daily events, a data bank of Creative Commons photo and video captured, and an online aggregation platform with content feeds, a calendar, and live-stream embed.
