Fission Strategy Works With NRDC Towards Clean Air

The National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a leading environmental action group, combining the grassroots power of 1.3 million members and online activists with the courtroom clout and expertise of more than 350 lawyers, scientists and other professionals.
With Fission's help, NRDC has developed a new Facebook app that helps their 166,000 Facebook Fans quickly send a letter (via email) to their Representative and Senators -- then drive home their message with a post on their Members' public Facebook Pages.
Most users interact with the app via the NRDC Facebook Page Wall. Here's an example of a "one-click" post:
The post looks like any other, but when you see the "one click" logo, that means Fans can sign onto the letter to Congress (directed to their specific Member of Congress and Senators) just by clicking on the link and authorizing Facebook to share their info (name, email, location) with NRDC. On the "thanks" page, supporters can easily post a follow up message on their Senators' and Reps' Facebook Pages.
This combo of public and private pressure delivers a one-two punch. It's also more fun for Facebook users than being directed off of Facebook to fill out a contact form on NRDC.org.
Don't see a recent "one-click" post on the NRDC Facebook Wall? Clicking on "NRDC 1-Click Action" in the left sidebar on the NRDC Facebook Page will bring you to the latest action.
Take a moment to use your social network for good -- sign on to help preserve clean air and post a message to your Senators' and Representatives' Facebook Page Walls. NRDC has made it easy.
