Fission Strategy Helps to End Global Poverty

The ONE Campaign works to bring an end to extreme poverty and preventable disease. Recently, ONE asked Fission Strategy to help develop an interactive Facebook app and develop the ONE Campus website that encourages university students to be a part of ending global poverty by competing to make the biggest impact.
- Nearly 1 billion people around the world live on $1.50 a day. And for the next couple of weeks, we challenge you to do it too.
- Recruit ONE campus challenge participants at activity fairs using the Living Proof materials: a collection of videos, fact sheets, stories, and photographs that show the incredible progress being made in development.
- Meet with your Members of Congress and talk about the importance protecting international development programs in US FY2012 Budget.
There is a leaderboard feature that allows students to see which university has the most points towards collecting a grand prize: every semester the top three teams go to the annual summer Bonnaroo Music Festival to help recruit more ONE leaders and enjoy seeing great musical talent! Other points and prizes are awarded throughout the semester for meeting campaign challenges. The overall goal is to spread the message about global poverty and getting others on campus involved.
The website helps inform people about ONE's mission and to inform students of what is going on at their own school. The Facebook app allows students to submit points and sign petitions as they become further engaged in helping ONE.
Fission Strategy is proud to be a part of the ONE organization's efforts to bring an end to famine and utilizing Facebook and a new website to engage university students. We are excited for the great strides these to have with encouraging an end to global poverty!
