As of this writing, over 6,000 donors have contribued over $650,000 to local organizations since midnight! 

The website: http://give2max.org has a ticker counting the amount contributed until Give to the Max Day is over at midnight tonight. We hope you'll take part - especially if you're in DC, Maryland or Virginia. Even if you're not, this is a great idea to share with those you know. 

Ideally, this is the kind of viral, community-centric initiative that will take off in other cities around the country.
