If You Have a Question for Nancy Pelosi, Just Ask!
posted by Cheryl Contee on July 21, 2010
Saturday is only a few days away!
Now, I love Saturdays as much as the next person, but this Saturday, July 24th, is particularly special. In fact, it may be one of the most exciting Saturdays of my life, because I have the privilege of moderating a panel with the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi! The fact that the panel will take place at Netroots Nation, where I’m a member of the Board of Directors, is the icing on the cake.
I’m not the only person who’s excited about Speaker Pelosi’s appearance at Netroots Nation. Members of Facebook, Twitter, and many other online communities have sent me an astonishing amount of insightful questions and comments about everything from the filibuster to Citizens United to the Fair Elections Now Act. I would like to keep the questions coming. You can ask your questions on Facebook and on Twitter (use the hashtag #nn10pelosi), but as long as you're here, list them below. I’ll be checking back often to take a look at what you have to say.
The Ask the Speaker session is scheduled for Saturday morning at 9 a.m. If you haven’t yet registered for Netroots Nation 2010 and you want to attend, click here to sign up.
As Bill Harnsberger at Daily Kos says, “It’s like a political rally, a think tank retreat and a non-stop party with your best friends all rolled into one. It’s a celebration of the past achievements and future goals of the ever-expanding Netroots. It’s an event where progressive leaders and candidates come to hear, in person, what you have to say. You’ll leave the convention deliriously proud of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed.”
I agree, and I can't wait!
