Netroots Nation 2013 is quickly approaching! Thousands of progressives will be in San Jose, CA from June 20-23, including Cheryl Contee and Sam Marx from Team Fission. Cheryl is proud to be a member of the Netroots Nation Board of Directors and warmly welcomes Netroots attendees to the Bay Area.
Cheryl will be moderating two panels: “The Future of Organizing" on Thursday at 4:30 PM in room 210 BF with Sara El-Amine (OFA), Anna Galland (MoveOn.org), Ian Inaba (CEL) and Ethan Roeder (NOI) and "Ask A Sista: Black Women Muse on Politics, Policy, Pop Culture and Scholarship" on Saturday at 3:00 PM in room 552 with Charlene Carruthers, Kimberly Ellis, Lauren Brown Jarvis and Jenifer Daniels. You can also find Cheryl sitting on the panel for Beating Back Mansplaining and Other Acts of Sexism in Politics and Organizing on Thursday at 3PM in room 210 with Sarah Lane (moderator), Amanda Marcotte, Duncan Black, and Shaunna Thomas.
