Today Fission Strategy is #WearingOrange

Today Americans are wearing orange to commemorate those whose lives were lost to gun violence and celebrate those things we want to keep safe in the future.

Why Wear Orange?
The color orange symbolizes the value of human life. Hunters wear orange to alert other hunters that they are there — as a way to take care of their own life and the lives of others.
Several years ago, teens on the South Side of Chicago asked their classmates to wear orange in honor of their friend, Hadiya Pendleton who was shot and killed at Harsh Park about a mile away from President Obama's home in Kenwood. Today, we are amplifying their message, and turning orange into a symbol for the value of human life everywhere.
If you forgot to don your orange today, you can wear orange digitally by uploading a photo of what you care about at WearOrange.org.
Fission Strategy is honored to have worked with Everytown for Gun Safety and the coalition of organizations behind the Wear Orange campaign, to help make an end to gun violence a reality.
