Project Summary:
Fission Strategy developed and implemented a social media and blogger outreach campaign targeting civic-minded developers to invite them to participate in the Apps for Communities challenge.
The result was a significant response from the developer community of 75 applications submitted, which delivered personalized and actionable information to people that are least likely to be online and demonstrated a true potential to help American citizens.
This project was driven by a first-of-its-kind collaboration between a government agency, the Federal Communications Commission, and a nonprofit, the Knight Foundation.
