Sizzlin Summer Tools For Distributed Teams

The Fission Strategy team is spread across multiple time zones and continents. With our family-oriented culture, we also have varying schedules. Without a traditional office space or office hours our team manages to efficiently and creatively collaborate thanks to a few essential tools. Here are some of these tools that we want to share with you!

Slack is our internal messaging application. Similar to other social platforms, Slack allows us to give each other real time updates on where we are and what we are working on so that we can more efficiently support each other.

We use it to share documents and images, as well as to collaborate in groups on specific projects and clients.

It has effectively become our virtual office and is the one place where we can really engage with all members of the team.

Redbooth is the application that helps us manage our tasks and projects. We are able to organize timelines and accountability on individual tasks through Redbooth.

Meldium is the tool that pulls the rest of these applications together. It allows our team to have access to all of our accounts without sharing passwords and having to manually onboard new team members.

They also offer extensions for several browsers and apps.

We just recently started using Meldium and enjoy the ease of signing into accounts without needing to remember hundreds of logins.

These are just a few of the essential tools that we use. What tools does your distributed office use? Tweet @fissionstrategy to tell us your favorite tools for remote workplaces!
