Fission is looking for someone who will manage projects as our Project Manager.

Project Managers provide the structure and support the overall vision for website and app design and development projects. In this role you will serve as the primary client contact and interface heavily with our client’s senior marketing, technical, and executive management teams.

As Fission’s Project Manager, You Will:

  • Collaborate with Account Management team to help launch projects, which includes but not limited to gathering requirements, defining scope, creating estimates, planning resources, developing schedule, and tracking progress
  • Lead project execution and closely monitor progress; ensure project milestones are met; Actively manage risk mitigation and issue resolution
  • Analyze changes to scope/requirements/timeline, and assess impact to the project delivery
  • Manage resource allocation
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, weekly project team meetings and working meetings as needed
  • Prepares and monitors project budgets and cash flow projections; Establishes and monitors time and cost schedules.
  • Regularly update internal management with status and budget reports on open projects

Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution OR relevant work experience  
  • 5 years account, campaign or project management experience, or other relevant experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Advanced understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings
  • Previous account management, product management, project management, financial analysis, and negotiation and/or marketing experience
  • Ability to work on multiple projects (5-7) and staff at one time with strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrate accountability and top-notch communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at ALL decision-making levels
  • Experience working in an extremely fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of the digital marketing and social media landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate staff/project team, inspire teamwork and take a leadership role
  • Ability to solve complex problems with keen instincts and organizational experience
  • Must be able to simultaneously focus on big picture, details and driving results
  • Experience with a variety of CMS solutions
  • Experience with implementing CRM solutions

As Fission’s Senior Account Manager, You Will:

  • Act as the central communication/persuading point for “inside sales”
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with top clients
  • Focus on developing the client relationship – understand the broader client dynamics, goals, team set up, budgets, etc.
  • Determine the client’s larger needs and trajectory
  • Develops and demonstrates an understanding of the client’s business, their needs, expectations, and requirements and effectively communicate that with the Fission team
  • Closely work with the Project Manager on project execution
  • Conduct face-to-face, telephone and online meetings
  • Presents pricing to client after Fission team has provided estimates for project
  • Acts as a client point-of-contact for all day-to-day project related issues
  • Provides client with updates and secures approvals for additional scope
  • Schedules all meetings, develops agenda and debriefs afterwards
  • Manage multiple client relationships at once

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of the following: software development life cycles, web technologies, web development processes and the delivery of solutions with creative and engineering components.
  • Advanced understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings
  • Ability to work on multiple projects (5-7) at one time with strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrate accountability and top-notch communication skills
  • Experience working in an extremely fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of the digital marketing and social media landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate staff/project team, inspire teamwork and take a leadership role
  • Ability to solve complex problems with keen instincts and organizational experience
  • Must be able to simultaneously focus on big picture, details and driving results
  • Understanding of UX principles and the process of translating requirements into website Information Architecture
  • Experience implementing Salesforce.com technology based applications
  • Ability to work with Salesforce.com functionality and design to provide recommendations and guidance to meet project goals
  • Experience with non-profit advocacy toolkits such as BSD, Action Kit, Salsa, Engaging Networks, NationBuilder, etc.
  • Advanced experience with digital advertising platforms (Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Experience with marketing automation software and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of scope development and refinement
  • Experience with customer data management and analytics
